QNT Casein Protein is a powder for anyone who prefers a slow-digesting protein source. It comes in 3 flavors, including Belgian Chocolate, Tutti Frutti, and Vanilla.
What exactly is Casein?
Casein is the second protein in milk alongside whey – and even makes up about 80% of the protein content there. In the stomach, casein forms a gel-like mass and is thus digested much slower than whey: The amino acids are released gradually over several hours. This is why casein has earned the reputation as an "evening protein" – typically before longer periods without food. The typical form is micellar casein as a powder. Characteristic is its creamy, thick consistency: Mixed with a little liquid, it becomes a spoonable protein pudding.

What to look for when buying?
Pay attention to the form of casein (micellar casein is the standard), the protein content per 100g, and the sweetener. If you want the pudding effect, check the dosage instructions – the ratio of powder to liquid determines the consistency. If you have a milk protein intolerance, casein is not the right choice – then it's better to opt for vegan proteins.
